At Liftra we provide design, engineering, production and operation of tailor-made lifting and transport solutions for the global wind industry for Onshore and Offshore applications. We are looking for a Control Engineer to join our team to develop and implement the electrical and hydraulic systems of Liftra tools to ensure the correct functionality and overall operation of them.
As part of the Engineering Department of Liftra Spain in Bilbao, the Control Engineer will be in close contact with the project manager, purchase department, internal technical team and suppliers to carry out the complete project.
Your primary assignments:
- Identification of the control system requirements of an electro-mechanical system.
- Selection and design of the hardware architecture for the system in accordance with the safety and environmental requirements.
- Definition of specifications for suppliers (electronics cabinet components, actuators, sensors, etc).
- Programming of the PLC and HMI/SCADA.
- Follow-up of the subsystems manufacturing progress (Suppliers technical questions and issues).
- Commissioning and testing of the control part of the project. Incidence management.
- Communication with customers and suppliers.
- Development of project documentation.
About you
- Training: Certificate of Engineering Bachelor or Master degree related to Control/Electrical/Electronic/Industrial Engineering.
- PLC programming knowledge is welcomed, especially valuable experience in Rockwell and Siemens (although is not required).
- Possibility to travel to Site commissioning (windfarm or workshop).
- Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and energetically approach tasks assigned.
