Help achieve our purpose: Feeding the Future

Nutreco is a pioneer in animal nutrition and aquafeed – and our purpose of Feeding the Future is our passion. Through it, we're shaping a sustainable future for food production globally. As part of the SHV family, our business lines, Skretting and Trouw Nutrition, are revolutionising aquaculture and advancing livestock health and productivity with innovative solutions that are breaking new ground in the industry. There's no better place to kickstart your career

The opportunity:

Drive your future success in end-to-end supply chain by learning from some of the industry's foremost experts in sustainability, procurement, quality, manufacturing, logistics, planning and engineering.

Work at the centre of it all and build your international acumen by connecting with our Business Units and Global Supply Chain Leadership Team – the central interface between production, R&D, sales and our customers.

Gain practical experience in supply chain excellence by working on challenging tasks, projects and completing numerous trainings in an international environment.

Who we're looking for:

  • Academic achievement: Strong technical academic background; Master's in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics or Business Administration.
  • Language: Strong proficiency in business English and local language.
  • Professional experience and passion: Maximum of one to two years of experience in supply chain, business administration or manufacturing environments.
  • Global mobility and adaptability: Eagerness to take on global projects and temporary international relocation opportunities. Flexibility and ability to adapt to different cultures, helping our operations around the world.
  • Proactive learners: Enjoyment in mastering complex concepts and applying learnings in practical ways to make an impact.
  • Creative problem solvers: Ability to approach challenges creatively, thinking outside the box to find the best solutions.
  • Diversity & inclusion: Appreciation and respect for diverse perspectives and ability to share your own ideas and work inclusively.

By choosing Nutreco, you'll help us lead the change towards global sustainable food production, equipped with the best training and mentorship and a spirit of innovation. This program isn't just about what you can bring to us, but how we can grow together, fostering a culture that sparks entrepreneurial mindset.

We offer a special 18-month program, split into three six-month rotations on the job, normally in three different countries, in three different supply chain areas. The program is designed to help you fully develop yourself on a personal and professional level by understanding our end-to-end supply chain processes, including the interdependencies and interconnectedness between different areas. You will gain industry-specific knowledge and leverage the experience of experts in our different locations and Opcos.

Local hiring company - home location:

You will spend the first six months at your home location gaining on-the-job experience with a real-life job, learning about key supply chain processes, systems, respective goods and services and data flows. In parallel, you will also start to develop your personal network in a collaborative environment.

Plant and Opco locations:

After the first six months working from your home location, you will spend several months in some of our international plants and locations. The focus here will be on gaining additional perspectives and learning about the day-to-day operational and strategic challenges. At this point, you may identify potential improvements to help us along in our continuous drive for optimisation.

Each rotation starts with a Skills Development Academy week focused on job-specific learning and personal development. You will also meet your fellow global Young Professionals and benefit from a wide range of trainings and events.

During all the phases of your traineeship, you will work as part of the Supply Chain team on a challenging position, global project, operational business tasks and attend several training courses. This combination of on-the-job, projects, training and international experience will provide you with excellent skills and give you a solid head start on your career.

Recruitment process:

Submit your application. Interview: Connect with your potential future manager to discuss your aspirations and potential fit. Assessment: Review your values alignment, personality, and ability with Nutreco's needs. Offer: Join us in Feeding the Future
