We are seeking a Communications Specialist to join a newly created internal team focused on strengthening engagement and brand positioning across key stakeholders. This role involves implementing communication strategies both internally and externally, requiring creativity, strong writing skills, graphic design experience, and a proactive mindset. You'll work collaboratively with various internal teams and contribute to communication efforts that reflect the institution's dynamic and international environment.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.

Your role as an Communication Specialist will involve:

• Contribute to the development and consistent use of a clear tone and messaging strategy that aligns with the team's brand positioning and connects effectively with multiple audiences (including students, alumni, partners, and internal stakeholders).
• Manage internal communications such as newsletters, email campaigns, event marketing, and visual content to support engagement across the community.
• Develop external communications including articles, website content, employer-facing materials, employment reports, and social media contributions.
• Create and maintain a detailed content calendar for social media and digital campaigns, coordinating cross-functional input and ensuring timely execution.
• Oversee the social media presence of leadership and key institutional accounts, ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and visual identity across channels.
• Tracking metrics of social media performance.
• Collaborate with and manage interns or junior staff contributing to these accounts.
• Coordinate closely with other internal departments, especially those focused on branding, communications, and academic engagement.
• Oversee the creation and publication of original, high-quality content that highlights community stories, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
• Design and execute visual and multimedia materials (posters, flyers, presentations, videos, etc.) for internal and external use.
• Liaise with external marketing and creative agencies as needed.
• Analyze communication campaigns and engagement data to inform future strategies and improve content performance.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Degree from a recognized academic institution.
• Background in communications, journalism, marketing, or related fields.
• Proven experience in marketing, communications, or advertising, ideally in an international or business-oriented environment.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and visually.
• Experience managing multi-channel marketing efforts, particularly in digital formats.
