Job Description: Operations Manager at Bina

Overview: Bina, a fast-growing, digitally native international school, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our operations amidst a plan for over 10x growth in the next two years with increasing quality. The role offers potential to advance into Head of Ops or COO. We prefer candidates early in their careers, with 3-5 years of experience in startups or tech, particularly in operations or product management, with strong analytical skills and fluent English. Experience in management consulting or startups, and a background in engineering or math, are highly valued.

About Bina: Bina is a global, digitally native school for children aged 4-12, offering internationally accredited education with a focus on accessibility, attention, and a global perspective. Trusted by 100 families across 35 countries, we grew 4.5x YoY reaching $1M ARR, and aim to grow tenfold in the next two years, fostering a collaborative, real-time learning environment worldwide.

Responsibilities:
  1. Own and improve operational aspects of unit economics.
  2. Define key performance improvement initiatives with leadership.
  3. Lead projects to reduce cost per student.
  4. Oversee quality and KPIs of operational processes (recruiting, staffing, quality assurance) with functional leaders.
  5. Lead and support strategic operational projects.
  6. Manage school operations and family care projects, supporting leadership across functions.
Strategic Projects in 2025:
  1. Launch of a new time zone.
  2. Implementation of a new teaching schedule.
  3. Development of a systemic recruiting and staffing model for educators.
  4. Launch of online summer camps.
  5. Budget tracking and back-office streamlining.
  6. Financial management enhancements, possibly with fractional CFO support.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Cost reduction.
  • Family care cost per student reduction.
  • Maintaining admin costs.
  • Efficient recruiting and staffing of educators.
  • Zero-defect back-office operations.
Candidate Requirements:
  • At least 3 years in operations, consulting, analytics, or product management in fast-growing startups.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business judgment skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and leadership, building trusted relationships.
