Offer Description

We are seeking a qualified postdoctoral researcher to participate in research activities within the framework of the TELEVÉS CHAIR PROJECT IN MICROELECTRONIC DESIGN, at the Instituto Galego de Física de Altas Enerxías (IGFAE). This position is funded by the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence and co-funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU/PRTR, under the ENIA Chairs Call.

The successful candidate will support the tuning, testing, and deployment of quantum computing and simulation equipment, as well as systems for cosmic radiation detection. Responsibilities include evaluating and preparing tender documents, assembling equipment, and conducting acceptance testing, calibration, and benchmarking of components.

  • Knowledge and experience in quantum technologies, detector technology, and nuclear physics.
  • Ability to assemble, test, and benchmark equipment in research infrastructures.
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation for tenders and procurement.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced English level (C1 or B2).
  • Capacity to work full-time in a demanding scientific environment.
Specific Requirements
  • PhD in Science (Physics, Renewable Energies, Quantum Technologies, or related fields).
  • Credible R&D experience in nuclear physics and detector technologies.
  • Research stays in related centers are valued.
Additional Information
  • 12-month full-time contract.
  • Gross salary: €2,264.13/month.
  • Schedule: 9:00-14:00 & 16:00-18:00.

  • PhD in relevant fields.
  • English proficiency: C1 (15 points) or B2 (10 points).
  • R&D experience in nuclear physics and detector technology.
