Compliance and Risk Specialist (with Polish and German, Transportation Risk & Compliance)

Amazon Transportation Services has built a world-class Middle Mile operation, relying on an exceptional pool of carriers dedicated to meeting our customers' expectations. TRC is seeking a Compliance and Risk Analyst to audit Amazon Middle-Mile carrier partners' compliance with contractual and legal requirements and to promote a compliance culture both internally and externally.

Ideal candidates will have strong audit experience, preferably in transport, capable of conducting thorough carrier audits, identifying compliance, safety, regulatory, and reputational risks, proposing mitigation solutions, and delivering detailed reports. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, a data-driven mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to earn carriers' trust. Team spirit and autonomy are essential.

Key job responsibilities

1. Vet Middle-Mile carrier candidates against Amazon policies before onboarding.
2. Audit carrier partners based on TRC standards, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
3. Provide comprehensive audit reports with highlights, lowlights, and recommendations to senior management and business partners.
4. Deliver clear and actionable audit findings to carriers to help them achieve compliance.
5. Conduct short-notice compliance audits as needed, maintaining high standards.
6. Investigate suspicious carrier activities posing risks to Amazon, customers, or others.
7. Meet individual and team goals with diligence and high standards.
8. Maintain audit productivity and quality standards.
9. Lead or participate in special projects as required.

A day in the life

No two days are the same; you will work with many carriers across the network, assessing compliance levels and trending key issues to inform long-term solutions.

About the team

The team is distributed across Europe, working independently within countries but collaborating regularly on regional topics and trends.

Minimum qualifications

• Audit experience, preferably in transport
• Fluency in Polish AND German
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Project management and process improvement experience
• Ability to work effectively with international teams with integrity
• Strong analytical and interpretative skills
• Proficiency in Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Research and investigation skills
• Experience handling confidential data
• Willingness to travel up to 10%

Preferred qualifications

• Transport-related experience (e.g., Transport Manager, Fleet Manager)
• Knowledge of local transport laws and regulations
• Compliance and risk management experience
• Professional auditing qualification
• Experience with data software (e.g., Tableau, QuickBase)
• Fluency in additional languages such as French, Italian, Lithuanian, or Spanish
