About the Position

We are seeking a Lecturer/Assistant Professor to join our Economics Department at ICADE (Universidad Pontificia Comillas). The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching Macroeconomics, International Political Economy, Microeconomics, International Economics, and related courses.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to our department's research activities, develop innovative teaching strategies, and engage with students through personalized attention and continuous assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics, including Macroeconomics, International Political Economy, Microeconomics, and International Economics.
  • Conduct research in Economics, publish in top international peer-reviewed journals, and seek research funding.
  • Supervise research projects and provide academic counselling and advice to students.
  • Engage in initiatives to promote the European Higher Education Area's methodology in teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Hold a PhD in Economics or a related field by the time of appointment.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (C2 or equivalent), with a specific interview through English with the School of Foreign Languages.
  • A clear and steady research strategy, demonstrated publication track record, and acceptance of Universidad Pontificia Comillas' mission.
