Technical Lead - B2B Freelance Position

Location: Spain / Remote

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3 months + extensions

Industry: SaaS - Healthcare

Interview Process: 1 Stage

We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead to join a fast-growing SaaS company. Our client's software plays a key role in enabling organizations to support and champion the health of their employees, and they are looking for a Technical Lead to enhance their engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Guide and support a multidisciplinary engineering team, nurturing a collaborative environment focused on innovation, quality, and ongoing growth.
  2. Shape the technical vision and make strategic architectural choices to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
  3. Partner with Product stakeholders to ensure technical execution aligns with user needs and business goals.
  4. Address and resolve complex technical challenges, maintaining high system performance and stability.
  5. Promote a culture of learning by encouraging knowledge exchange and upskilling within the team.
  6. Coordinate with fellow technical leaders to ensure alignment and coherence across engineering squads.
Required Skills:
  1. 6+ years in an agile engineering leadership role, such as Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
  2. Experienced in solving complex technical challenges.
  3. Fluent in English & Spanish.
  4. Software architecture skills - strong in AWS, microservices, and DevOps.
  5. Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  6. Deep technical expertise in modern development stacks: React, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, Swift, and Kotlin.
Desired Skills:
  1. Interest in healthcare / mental health.
  2. Technical certifications / Bachelor Degree.
  3. Expertise in a wider, but relevant tech stack.
