Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Research Scientist with a data-centric mindset to join our applied research and innovation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, operationalization of AI / ML, and process automation.
You will be responsible for analyzing data, researching the most appropriate techniques, and developing, testing, supporting, and delivering proof of concepts to resolve real-world and large-scale challenging problems.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and apply machine learning innovations with minimal technical supervision.
- Understand stakeholder requirements and communicate results clearly and effectively.
- Perform feasibility studies and analyze data to determine suitable solutions.
- Work on various data challenges, ensuring solutions are simple, scalable, reproducible, and maintainable, with high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams on the integration and deployment of ML solutions, fostering team building and effective relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related numerate discipline
- Senior experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning & AI
- Experience with large datasets, production-grade code, and operationalization of ML solutions
- Hands-on experience with datasets, ML models (PyTorch or TensorFlow), and evaluations
- Ability to understand scientific papers and translate ideas into code
- Analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, persistence, and strong communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, Git, pandas, Dask, Polars, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, Docker, Databricks
Desired Skills
- Masters degree or specialization in AI / ML; PhD is a plus
- Experience with MLOps (MLFlow, Prefect) and cloud deployment (Azure preferred)
- Understanding of LLMs & Generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG)
- Experience with RPA, Time Series Forecasting & Predictive modeling
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, Elasticsearch, Pinecone, Faiss)
- Experience in retail, consumer, e-commerce, FMCG sectors (NielsenIQ portfolio)

- Flexible working environment - 1-2 days in the office per week
