Senior Accounting Technician

Job Role

The accounting technician will be responsible for the control, coordination and supervision of the accounting, as well as the internal treasury of the company.

Other key aspects of the role include :

1. Performing the company's internal general accounting.
2. Treasury management, accounting and bank reconciliations.
3. Support in the preparation of taxes VAT, IRPF, IS reconciling with accounting data.
4. Record and organize financial transactions, maintaining accuracy in accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger for future reference.
5. Periodically reconcile financial records, investigating and resolving discrepancies in bank statements, accounts, and other data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
6. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, collaborating with the team in analysing data for decision-making.
7. Analyse financial statements, identify areas of improvement and risks, provide recommendations to improve performance and ensure compliance with internal regulations and policies.
8. Manage accounts payable by verifying invoices, ensuring timely payments.
9. Support internal and external audits, providing necessary financial information documentation.
10. Manage and monitor compliance with established deadlines for financial reporting and cash-flow procedures.
11. Supervise and control annual budgets (Budget) and monthly forecasts (Forecast), as well as analyse possible deviations.
12. Configure and maintain ERP systems (Navision / Dynamics) to ensure operational optimization.
13. Coordinate and review monthly financial reports prepared for group headquarters.

Candidate Profile

Experience :

1. Minimum 5 years in accounting role within multinational company.
2. Experience in administration and finance departments performing data control, invoicing, conciliation bank and treasury functions.
3. Knowledge of a Microsoft ERP system (Navision, BC, AX)

Skillset :

1. Computer : Advanced level CRM Navision / rapid (MANDATORY)
2. Language : Advanced written and oral level (English) desirable (Italian)
3. Entrepreneurial spirit : Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed, the ability to develop own initiatives, work autonomously, and solve problems independently.
4. Business Development : Able to source own business opportunities using existing contacts, networking, and other lead generation tactics to self-generate a sales pipeline.
5. Collaboration : Able to tactfully interact with customers and team members, and to listen, understand, collate, and relay information between the customer and local and international colleagues.
6. Versatility : Capable and willing to quickly adapt to new environments, technology, and situations.
7. Resilience : Capacity to shape constructive responses to concerns and objections, whilst maintaining a positive attitude when presented with setbacks.

Education : University degree, preferably in Business Administration and Management or a related subject, or equivalent experience.

Location : The candidate should be prepared to commute to Targa Viasat Spain office in Madrid.
