Our Client, a prominent player in the iGaming and Sports Affiliation industry, is on the lookout for a dedicated and proficient Backend Software Engineer with a strong inclination towards data. The successful candidate will be pivotal in architecting, constructing, and optimizing their backend systems to enhance data-driven decision-making and contribute to their continuous endeavour of delivering superior value to their clients.

Tasks
  • Develop, deploy and maintain scalable and high-availability backend services and APIs.
  • Build data ingestion pipelines utilising platforms such as GCP and/or Azure.
  • Engage in all phases of software development lifecycle from design to development, and testing, ensuring superb quality deliverables.
  • Establish and adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and maintenance of software.
  • Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems.
  • Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design.
  • Conduct data modelling and optimization to support new and existing product features.
  • Analyse and interpret complex datasets, providing insights that can steer technical decision-making.
  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with industry regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on data-centric projects.
  • Proficient in backend programming languages such as PHP, Python, or C#.
  • Solid experience with database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, and caching solutions.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
  • Excellent understanding of data analytics and visualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum methodology experience is desirable.
