About the roleUsing your expert knowledge and extensive network, you will be responsible for screening lot submissions and creating attractive lot listings every week. Catawiki strives to keep user transactions as transparent and fair as possible, and your expertise and experience play a large part in maintaining this standard; you know better than anyone which Music and Movies memorabilia items are of interest to our users. Your mission is to delight our customers by offering them the best Music and Movies memorabilia lots in auction. You will review lot titles, descriptions, and pictures, and provide users with an estimated value based on this information. If you need to reject a submission, you do so in a professional and courteous manner. We are looking for a candidate with clear domain expertise in Music and Movies memorabilia, which includes autographs, merchandise, props, posters, photographs, paintings… broadly anything that music and movies’ collectors will love. If you are an expert in one of the two domains, don’t get discouraged, we are looking for someone eager to learn. This position can be worked remotely across one of our many country hubs in Europe.
What you’ll bring- A deep understanding of music and/or movies memorabilia
- Proven experience qualifying and validating Autographs within the Music and Film industry.
- An eye for the latest trends regarding both industries
- A regular contributor within the community
- Deep knowledge of the market
- Commercial experience and mentality, with experience trading and visiting fairs/events
- Eager to learn and build on new capabilities
- Preferably knowledge in basic Records valuation theory
- Solid knowledge on broader popular genres.
- Background in trading music and/or movies’ memorabilia
- Additional spoken languages

Our offices and way of workingWe have sensational offices in Amsterdam, Groningen, Paris and our newest office in Lisbon. Most of our employees are within commutable distance of one of our office locations and enjoy a hybrid work model. This means we expect you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days, roughly 40% of your working time, to collaborate and connect with each other. The exception is of course, if the job description specifically states that the role is 100% remote, as some experts and sales positions are.
