We're pioneering the next wave of combat-proven defence innovations and breakthrough propulsion systems combining turbojet and ramjet technologies for future hypersonic vehicles with hydrogen propulsion.
The candidate will work in the assembly of small, electrically-powered drones. He/she will be involved in the manufacturing of 3D-printed parts for the airframe, the assembly of the airframe with these parts and externally sourced carbon-fibre parts, as well as the final integration of all subsystems (batteries, motor, servos, control boards, etc) onto the airframe.
Tasks- Manufacturing of 3D-printed parts.
- Performing nut inserts onto 3D-printed parts.
- Inspection and acceptance of carbon-fibre parts manufactured by external contractors.
- Assembly of various electrical and electronic components and mount onto the airframe.
- Keep a record of stock usage and availability.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., electronics, mechanical engineering, UAV technology) is a plus.
- Proven experience in the assembly and manufacturing of small, electrically-powered drones or similar electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with 3D printing processes and hands-on experience in manufacturing 3D-printed parts.
- Experience with the integration of various electrical and electronic components onto drone airframes.
- Knowledge of and experience with carbon-fibre materials and their application in drone construction.
- Competency in performing nut inserts onto 3D-printed parts.
- Understanding of electrical systems, including batteries, motors, servos, and control boards.
- Quality Control: attention to detail in ensuring the quality and precision of assembled components.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records of stock usage and availability.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, external contractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to follow instructions, provide updates on progress, and report any issues or challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the assembly and integration process.
- Adaptability to handle unexpected challenges and changes in project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: understanding and adherence to safety protocols and guidelines related to drone assembly and testing.
