Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to leverage your expertise in Circular Bioeconomy to lead cutting-edge projects across Europe? PNO Innovation is seeking a Senior Innovation Consultant with a strong background in agri-food, circular industrial processes, and bio-based products to bridge innovative ideas and European funding opportunities. This role offers a unique chance to make a tangible impact in sectors that matter.

As a Senior Innovation Consultant, you'll be instrumental in:

  1. Driving Innovation for Clients: Collaborate with clients to secure funding for projects focused on sustainability and circular bioeconomy, ensuring alignment with EU strategic priorities.
  2. Proposal Development: Lead the development of high-quality funding proposals, especially in Horizon Europe (Cluster 6), LIFE, and Mission Soil and Ocean, covering all aspects from innovation potential and impact to exploitation strategies.
  3. Project Management: Manage and guide EU-funded projects from planning to completion, including stakeholder analysis, business plan creation, and strategy planning for exploitation and replication.
  4. Providing High-Level Consulting: Deliver expert consulting to European Institutions, Technology Platforms, Sector Organizations, and large corporations, enhancing their R&D initiatives.
  5. Networking & Representation: Represent PNO Innovation at key events, from European info days and brokerage events to scientific conferences, expanding our network and visibility within the EU funding landscape.

A typical day could include:

  1. Meeting with a client to discuss a new project in sustainable agriculture.
  2. Drafting and reviewing a proposal for a funding opportunity within the Horizon Europe program.
  3. Coordinating with partners across Europe on an EU-funded project to ensure milestones are met.
  4. Attending an online conference or networking event to stay current with industry developments.

We're looking for someone with:

  1. Educational Background: A Master or a PhD degree in technical disciplines such as Chemistry, Environmental Science, Agronomy, Biotechnology, or related life science disciplines.
  2. Extensive Experience: At least five years in roles focused on R&D, innovation, or consulting within the Circular Economy, Bioeconomy, or Environmental domains (e.g., water and waste treatment, bio-based materials, recycling, environmental biotechnology, and carbon capture).
  3. EU Funding Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of European funding programs, including Horizon Europe, LIFE, CBE-JU, PRIMA, and the Innovation Fund.
  4. Project Management & Business Acumen: Proven expertise in business case development, strategic planning, and managing or coordinating EU-funded projects.
  5. Additional Expertise (preferred): Knowledge of digital tech applied to environmental and biorefinery processes.
  6. Language Skills: Fluency in English (required); additional European languages are a plus.
