We are currently recruiting for an Indirect Tax Consultant to be based in our office in Madrid.

Indirect Tax Consultant, the role
  • Provide VAT Consultancy and business advice of the highest standard to your client portfolio.
  • Calculate and file European VAT returns in a detailed and timely manner, ensuring the highest accuracy is maintained.
  • Advise clients of their VAT liabilities, which tax office to make payments to, and remind clients proactively regarding outstanding returns, ensuring that European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting are in place where required.
  • Communicate with tax offices regarding your clients’ accounts and obligations.
  • Complete VAT audits/investigations with tax offices in relation to your client portfolio.
  • Manage client accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department.
  • Remain consistently up to date with VAT law and any changes in VAT legislation.
  • Provide great customer service to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships with your portfolio.
  • Represent the company at events/webinars in a professional manner.
  • Train, support, and develop new members of the team.
  • Collaborate with the team in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
  • Connect with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions to improve procedures.
Indirect Tax Consultant, about you
  • Experience working in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent writing and telephone skills.
  • Confident with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email, Phone, and face-to-face).
  • Work well in a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Organized with proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability.
