In line with this, the specialist is“responsible for creating and publishing content on all social media platforms… to grow an audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately, boost sales.” In practice, the role involves planning and executing a content strategy (often in collaboration with designers and marketing teams), then monitoring engagement and refining tactics based on analytics. The right candidate will proactively own the content calendar and posting schedule without needing constant oversight, aligning posts to brand tone and goals.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Development & Publishing • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos) on multiple platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) according to a consistent editorial calendar. • Ensure every post aligns with the company’s brand identity and marketing objectives. Audience Engagement • Manage day-to-day interactions by monitoring comments, messages, and community feedback. • Engage followers by responding promptly, fostering brand advocates, and encouraging user-generated content to strengthen customer engagement. Analytics & Optimization • Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, platform insights) to track key metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth). • Prepare regular performance reports and use data-driven insights to refine content strategy and posting cadence. For example, adjust post timing and format based on what drives the most engagement. Brand Strategy & Research • Conduct research on competitors, industry trends, and relevant hashtags to inform strategy. • Identify opportunities for new campaigns, influencer collaborations, and cross-channel storytelling. • Stay up-to-date on platform best practices and emerging trends to keep the brand’s presence current. Collaboration & Reporting • Work closely with leadership (including the CEO) and cross-functional teams (marketing, design, content) to refine messaging and priorities. • Support executives’ personal brands by developing their LinkedIn posts and media. • Provide weekly reports summarizing activity, successes, and next steps for growth. Skills and QualificationsExperience • Several years of proven experience managing multi-channel social media (typically 3+ years in a corporate or agency environment). • Track record of growing and engaging audiences on platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram. Communication Skills • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong copywriting and editing skills. • Able to craft messages that fit different brands and audiences.
