You can do this as a Legal Counsel with full focus:

  • General legal advice on all areas of legal enquiry
  • Responsibility for all legal aspects in both car & non-car related procurement processes
  • Contribute and be an active participant in the Athlon International Legal Team
  • Contribute to all significant business change, projects & development initiatives
  • Responsibility for delivery, direct or by other 3rd parties, of all legal training to the business
  • Oversee and assist the local compliance officer and local management
  • Closely collaborating with Compliance

As our Legal Counsel, you will work alongside colleagues from Procurement, Project Management, Sales and support the monitoring of the Legal Center of Excellence in a challenging, local and international commercial environment. You will report to the General Counsel and the local Managing Director. Together with the local and international team, you ensure that the legal function delivers an optimal service and is highly visible within the organization.

Become the best version of yourself. Very normal at Athlon, because all our colleagues run on a healthy dose of ambition. What do you take with you as Legal Counsel for at least 39 hours per week? Absolutely your analytical thinking and results-oriented approach, your excellent communication, negotiation and people skills, and your strong project management capability. You also have the drive to support legal projects from kick-off to implementation and you have the ability to balance the company’s commercial drivers against legal risk. In addition, you have:

  • Advanced degree in law
  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English
  • A minimum of 5 years legal experience in an international fast-changing environment combined with a strong experience in cooperating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Legal and drafting skills, experienced in a (general) legal advising role as well as experience with (international) contracts
