Please do not contact the recruiter directly.Introduction to the vacant position: The Nanobioelec Group (www.ibecbarcelona.eu/nanobioelec) is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in the high throughput multiparametric nanocharacterization of drug nanocarriers within the framework of the BIOMEDSPM40 project. The overall objective of the project is to develop an autonomous and high throughput multiparametric functional scanning force microscope applicable to living cells and drug nanocarriers enhanced by artificial intelligence. Main tasks and responsibilities: Specifically, the Senior Researcher is expected to developed novel methods to simultaneously probe the structure, mechanical and electrical properties of drug nanocarriers (liposomes, polymeric nanoparticles, etc.) by means of scanning force microscopy, and to adapt them for high throughput applications. Requirements for candidates: Essential: PhD degree in Materials Science/Physics/Nanoscience and related fields. Wide experience in Atomic Force Microscopy applied to biosystems and drug nanocarriers (including nanomechanical characterization skills). Wide experience in the preparation of drug nanocarriers. Self-critical, capacity to learn and bring knowledge. Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork, Proactivity, Commitment, Collegiality, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking High level of English Advantageous: Background on Biology/Biotechnology Research stays at different centres (preferably international) with a minimum duration of 2 years. Experience of a stay carried out in a prestigious international centre will be valued.
