What You'll Do:

Within the Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, Environment & Security Department of Lubrizol at the Gavà site, the successful candidate will join the team as Quality Assurance Technician. In this role, you will give support to both our Food Ingredients and Cosmetics businesses. You will be especially involved in the management of external processes: relationship with suppliers and customers from a quality perspective.

As a QA Technician, you will contribute to the general goals of the QA Department:

  1. Maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety certifications of the site: ISO 22716, ISO 22000.
  2. Continuous improvement of the QMS, always keeping focus on market and regulatory needs.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Evaluate new suppliers and third-party manufacturers and periodically reevaluate them according to their quality performance.
  2. Lead on-site and desktop supplier quality audits.
  3. Collaborate with tech transfer of manufacturing processes to third-party manufacturers from the QA standpoint.
  4. Collaborate with externalization of analytical processes to third-party labs from the QA standpoint.
  5. Coordinate the activities related to calibration and qualification of manufacturing and analysis equipment.
  6. Collaborate with the external services in charge of facilities and/or utilities maintenance that may be critical from the quality standpoint (e.g., pest control).
  7. Manage deviations and OOS found in raw materials and packaging materials.
  8. Coordinate the response to customer requests related to quality.
  9. Assist customers in case of quality complaints, leading the internal investigations and in coordination with other Lubrizol sites.
Skills That Make a Difference:
  1. High Studies in Sciences.
  2. 3 years of relevant experience related to quality management systems within the food industry. Experience on quality management systems in the cosmetics industry will also be valued.
  3. Knowledge of Food Safety principles and experience in their application. Knowledge of ISO standards ISO 22000 and/or ISO 22716 will be valued.
  4. Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of other languages and advanced computer skills (especially knowledge of quality management software) will be valued.
  5. Proactive approach to problem solving and good interpersonal skills. Collaborative and team building attitude.
  6. Ability to build consensus between stakeholders with different approaches and interests.
