With a strong track record of backing transformative companies and translating cutting-edge science into real-world impact, we are now launching a new fund dedicated tocompany creationoriginating fromSpanish academia, and selectively, toseed investmentsin emerging biotech and medtech ventures.We are expanding our team and seeking a new (Senior) Investment Analystor Associateto join our efforts in addressing some of the major health challenges and become an integral part of this new effort.The role is open to both Investment Analysts and Associates, depending on experience and autonomy. The level of responsibility and decision-making will be adapted accordingly.The Key responsibilities of the new team member will be:Company creation and sourcing· Proactively source disruptive and impactful scientific projects from Spanish academia, research centres and hospitals· Analyse inbound deal flow to identify potential investment opportunities· Identify promising scientific entrepreneurs in the healthcare space: cultivating own network and attending conferences and events· Support in the scientific, strategic and financial evaluation and due diligence of new company-creation projects.· Support the Fund team in the investment execution process, including pre-seed investment.Portfolio supportSupport operations in pre-seed and seed investmentsTrack portfolio company performance and sustainability metrics and informationSupport in Investor reportingPortfolio management activities: engage and manage relationships with portfolio companies and support them where they may need help.RequirementsPhD in Life Sciences· Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience, in a Life Sciences VC, a pharma/biotech/med tech company, a technology transfer office, or life sciences consulting firm· Experience in operations and financing in parallel settings (start-ups, tech transfer offices or companies)· Basic to intermediate experience in financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis; further training will be providedAdvanced problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, analytically and creativelySelf-motivated and collaborative with exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicateStrong desire to learn continually and grow professionallyAbility to take initiative and collaborate effectively in teams Advanced or Fluent English speaking and writing skills is a mustBased in Spain (Barcelona or Madrid are preferred).What do we offer:· Opportunity to grow professionally in a diverse and growing firm with a healthy culture based on teamwork, respect and excellence which is our way to create value.· Remuneration package according to the prior expertise of the candidate and aligned with European VC benchmarks.· Career plan supported by the Partners of the firm, including mentoring and training. xcskxlj · Opportunity to participate in the transformation of science into products that impact patient outcomes.
