JOB TITLE: Mechanical or Electrical Commissioning EngineerEMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent – Full TimeLOCATION: SpainINDUSTRY: Data CentreProvides engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities on a labour contract value of under $10,000. Participates in the MEP design process; witnesses the static and dynamic testing of complex mechanical, electrical and controls systems and operates the system in normal, maintenance and failure modes of operations by performing the following duties:Performs Test ProceduresPrepare meeting minutesWork with fundamental test equipmentInteracts with contractors, interprets design and specificationsKnowledge of engineering principlesBasic knowledge of your principle (mechanical or electrical)Knowledge of electrical or mechanical system from operations point of viewMechanical Discipline should be comfortable working with chilled water distribution and commercial HVAC systemsAbility to interact/work professionally with clientConducts site observation surveys and prepares field reports on the status of projects and completion of projects with respect to compliance to the plans and specificationsPrepares punch list reports and determines corrective measures for on-site problemsPrepares general condition survey reportsFamiliarises oneself with codes, local project regulations, construction practices and the latest equipment functional conceptsFamiliarizes oneself and obeys all the projects safety requirements including specific on-site regulationsPerforms routine calculationsParticipates in professional trade associations and societiesActs as project coordinator with other field engineers, coordinating printing, presentation and administration proceduresReviews shop drawings and submittalsDevelops MEP test proceduresDevelops MEP operating proceduresResponds to RFI#39;s when requested by PM TeamPerforms various administrative dutiesPerforms other duties as assigned To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and Deltek. Education/Experience: Bachelor#39;s degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
