You will be part of a mature cloud ecosystem where reliability, security and automation are mission‑critical. This role is fully hands‑on and production‑focused — not a pure architecture position.ResponsibilitiesOperate and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments in productionDesign, deploy and manage host pools, session hosts, images, application groups and workspacesAutomate AVD deployments using Terraform (ARM / Bicep acceptable)Troubleshoot performance, stability and connectivity issuesImplement platform improvements following enterprise IT processesEnsure security, governance and operational complianceWork with Cloud, Network, Security, Workplace and Helpdesk teamsMaintain technical documentation (diagrams, deployment guides, runbooks)Manage images, patching and application delivery (Intune, etc.)Participate in maintenance windows and on‑call supportMust‑haveProven hands‑on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)Strong Azure infrastructure knowledge (compute, networking, storage, identity)Solid Windows client & server administrationExperience with Active Directory, Azure AD and GPOsExperience in enterprise or large‑scale environmentsStrong troubleshooting & problem‑solving skillsFluent EnglishNice‑to‑haveTerraform for infrastructure automationExperience standardizing AVD using Infrastructure as CodeMicrosoft Intune and modern workplace toolsMicrosoft DevBoxAzure certifications (AZ‑140, AZ‑104)Contractor profileSenior, delivery‑driven engineerAble to work independentlyUsed to structured enterprise environmentsStrong communication & collaboration skillsAvailable for hybrid work in MadridImportantThis is NOT a generic VDI role → AVD experience is mandatoryTerraform + AVD profiles are strongly preferredHands‑on production experience requiredWe OfferJoin us at the right time to make your mark in a fast‑growing organizationVarious missions and projects that will allow you to have a real impact on the companyThe ability to work autonomously and to drive new initiatives✨ A career path adapted to your personality, both in terms of role and locationA strong culture, based on sharing, respect, ambition, and team spiritThe opportunity to manage teams and develop your area of expertise by leading one of our squadsDevelop your management and leadership skills, because, at Ekkiden, consultants look after the careers of other consultants.
