The Intercellular Communication in Cancer and Ageing laboratory of Patrick-Simon Welz, in collaboration with the Microbiome Research Group of Mireia Valles Colomer (Universitat Pompeu Fabra), is recruiting a technician/predoctoral student with a background in bioinformatics for the analysis of metagenomic studies and for the integration of omics data sets. Together, the two hosting laboratories are studying daily host-microbiota crosstalk in health and disease. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work at the interface between state-of-the-art wet lab and cutting-edge data science-driven research for advancing biomedical research. We are looking for a highly motivated data scientist with outstanding qualifications. Previous experience in microbiome research or in omics data analysis is highly desirable. Initially being a technician position, the aim is to convert the post into a pre-doctoral role.
