MEP Cost Manager

MEP Cost Manager – MadridSupporting our Data Centre client to deliver complex projects and challenging programmes. The individual must be self‑motivated and client facing (both internal & external) with the ability to manage major projects. Establish early budgets, early estimating and cost planning. Manage a design team to the budget, tendering and procurement and post‑contract reporting to the client. Work collaboratively and robustly with main contractors and their MEP supply chain. Assist on feasibility studies and write procurement reports. Estimate and cost plan, presenting the final cost plan to internal & external clients. Tender and procure, including managing the pre‑qualification stage. Deal effectively with post‑contract cost variances and the change control processes. Conduct cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation. Produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present them to the client. Input into value engineering. Negotiate and agree final accounts. Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages. Lead a cost management team where appropriate. QualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related field. Proven track record of delivering high‑quality cost management/quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle. Experience delivering MEP elements of work for clients. Experience leading cost management commissions for large construction projects of high complexity. Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters. English and Spanish language skills. Excellent presentation, verbal, written and communication skills. Sound organisational skills; ability to multi‑task and be a team player. Working knowledge of MS Office software and tools.
