Position Overview: Control Room Operator (EMEA) We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the real-time supervision and remote operation of solar and storage facilities across the EMEA region. You will work closely with System Performance Engineers, O&M teams, and Analysts to ensure the highest levels of performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities • Continuously monitor PV facilities using Recurrent Energy’s proprietary Global Monitoring Platform to quickly identify and address potential issues. • Investigate, validate, and respond to system alarms and faults to minimize operational disruptions. • Create and manage work orders for local O&M teams based on system alerts and operational needs. • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory entities regarding shutdowns, curtailments, or events affecting energy generation. • Liaise with CCTV providers to resolve any security-related incidents across monitored facilities. • Operate and manage SCADA systems remotely to maintain optimal plant performance. • Contribute to the development and improvement of standardized operating procedures. • Support compliance with ISO 9001 standards. • Strictly follow all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications and Experience • Technical certification in Electricity, Renewable Energy, or a related field. An Engineering degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering is a strong plus. • Advanced English level required; additional European languages are an advantage. • Experience in customer service or supplier service environments is highly valued. • Strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and ability to perform well under pressure. • Familiarity with PV operations and/or BESS is considered an asset. • Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends. • Basic knowledge of Python or SQL is not required but will be considered a plus.
