We’re headquartered in Palma, Mallorca and employ around 3,500 people worldwide.JOB DESCRIPTION:Purpose: The role forms a key part of the Legal & GRC team that plays a paramount role in managing and advising on risk and legal liability, forming an important part along with finance, tax, HR and other functions to support the business to ensure we achieve the strong growth plans in the Europe Region.This role is in charge of:Leading all Commercial Legal matters in Europe or a specific European Region, for all business units, by interacting directly with internal stakeholders (i.e. Legal & GRC team members, commercial teams, tax, finance, etc.) and with externals (i.e. external lawyers, suppliers, clients, etc.) to help deliver on the business objectives of the companyIdentifying, monitoring and advising upon legal risks within the areas of responsibility and acting as Legal lead for Strategic Projects across Europe, ensuring effective development of those Projects.Engage, support and supervise his/her team member/sCoordinate and oversee external legal advisors in jurisdictions where specialized expertise is required or where no in-house legal counsel is available, ensuring efficient legal support and alignment with business objectives.KPI´s: Average response/resolution timesNumber of matters taken on Efficiently dealing with queries from the business Effective problem solving Collaborative relationship with all key stakeholdersContribution to achieving the L&C team objectivesSkillsInterpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills in English and SpanishAbility to prioritize and good time managementAbility to balance legal risks with business objectivesGood negotiation skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to cross connect issues with different functionsTeam playerTech skillsFlexibility and agility to take on matters and adjust quickly when changes happenPreferable Experience:Minimum 8 - 10 years practice either in a Law Firm OR as an in-house legal counsel with commercial law practicePrevious experience working within a team as well as leading teams and inspiring high levels of employee engagementExperience working in a multinational and multicultural environmentQualificationsA law degree from a reputable institutionBusiness level of proficiency in English and SpanishOther languages will be valuedKey ChallengesManaging expectations of the internal clientsTime management Maintain the balance between Legal requirements and business objectivesOrganising the priorities to become more efficient MultitaskingPrioritizingMust be flexible to sudden changes in business decisionsAt HBX Group, we believe that diversity drives innovation and makes travel a force for good.
