You’ll collaborate closely with our carbon intelligence team, gaining hands-on experience in ecosystem monitoring, data analysis, and carbon market research.Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze ecosystem indicators to assess the health of tropical forest projects and generate actionable insights. Project Monitoring and Evaluation:Utilize GIS tools, remote sensing technology, and relevant methodologies to support monitoring efforts for natural climate solutions and forest restoration initiatives. Market and Methodology Research:Conduct in-depth research on the Voluntary Carbon Market (trends, competitors, and Verra methodologies) to inform project design. Strategic Support and Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sustainability strategies, prepare reports for stakeholders, and support efforts to measure and communicate project impacts.What We’re Looking ForWe understand no single candidate meets every qualification. Proficient use of Microsoft Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel). Fluency in English and French (written and spoken). Ability to work autonomously and diligently in remote settings. Familiarity with Google Suite, amongst other remote working tools. Familiarity with key tropical forest ecosystem indicators (Biomass, Biodiversity, Ecological Connectivity).Desired Skills (Not Mandatory): Experience in a startup environment is a plus. Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and data analysis (e.g., Python, VBA, R). Experience with remote sensing tools (forest monitoring). Knowledge of the voluntary carbon market is highly desirable. Knowledge of natural climate solutions is highly desirable.
