Mobile Research Nurse (Freelance) – Clinical Trial VisitsBarcelona and A Coruña - Spain We are seeking experienced Mobile Research Nurses to support an upcoming clinical study. This role is ideal for freelance nurses who enjoy flexibility, autonomy, and working directly with patients in their home environment.This is an ad-hoc, part-time opportunity, suitable for nurses managing multiple clients or projects, with availability during weekday hours.About the RoleAs a Mobile Research Nurse, you will conduct scheduled patient visits in the community and perform clinical trial procedures to support a long-running study.Visit information:Duration: ~2 hours per visitVisit days: Day 4, 7, 11, 14, and 18 per patientStudy length: Ongoing for approximately 20 monthsYou will receive visit schedules well in advance and can plan around your other commitments.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform protocol-driven home visits for patients recovering from acute ischaemic strokeConduct study procedures including:VenepunctureSample processing (including centrifugation)Subcutaneous injection administrationECG recording (no interpretation required)CannulationPort-a-Cath access & de-accessEnsure accurate documentation, sample handling, and compliance with study standardsFollow up-to-date GCP (R3) guidelinesMaintain communication with the study team where requiredUphold patient safety, professionalism, and high-quality clinical care during every visitWhat We’re Looking ForRegistered Nurse with post-qualification experiencesMinimum 1 year of acute care experienceProven clinical trial or research nursing experience (priority focus)Confident in the required clinical skills, including venepuncture, injections, ECGs, and sample processingUp-to-date GCP R3 certification (or willingness to complete immediately)Current immunisations appropriate for clinical trial workFreelance nurse or someone with flexible weekly availabilityWhy This Role Suits Freelance NursesAd-hoc project work that fits around other clientsSchedules shared in advanceWork that is clinically meaningful and research-drivenOpportunity for involvement in additional studies as new projects launchIf you are an experienced research nurse or a clinically strong nurse looking to expand into mobile trial work, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion.Tshering SherpaTsherpa@planet-pharma.co.uk
