Job description and responsibilities:

You will join the development team for our reasoning AI R&D products. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience in building Full Stack web applications. You will receive full support from our team of scientists and software developers. Previous experience in chatbots, AI, and machine learning is a plus, as well as a background in physics, mathematics, or computer science.

What you’ll do

  • Design and Develop: Work with key stakeholders to design, architect, develop, and ship new features.
  • Lead by Example: Set the standard for high-quality coding practices and mentor junior engineers in clean, maintainable, and efficient code development.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, AI scientists and physicists to ship useful software.
  • Ensure Code Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure the team adheres to coding standards and best practices.
  • Optimize Performance: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges in existing systems.
  • Innovate and Experiment: Evaluate emerging technologies, contribute to technical roadmaps, and implement solutions that improve development speed and product quality.
  • Own the Full Development Lifecycle: Take ownership of the software development process from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Improve Processes: Advocate for and contribute to the adoption of agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps culture within the engineering team.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug: Actively investigate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and high availability.
  • Contribute to Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support team knowledge sharing and onboarding.
  • Drive Technical Vision: Help shape the long-term technical strategy and provide insights into potential future challenges and opportunities.

  • Education and Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ownership Mindset: A proactive attitude, with a focus on taking ownership and responsibility for tasks and outcomes.
  • Multi-disciplinary: You are experienced working within multi-disciplinary teams. In our case, you will be working closely with AI scientists and physicists.

Preferred technical skills:

  • Solid understanding of “clean code” principles
  • React
  • Python
  • Typescript
  • Git
  • Infrastructure as code (IaC) with e.g. Terraform
  • Experience with LLM APIs and tooling (e.g. langchain)
