JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounting Supervisor directly supervises accounting processes and related functions.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervises implementation of plans, procedures and policies on the following accounting major functions:

a. PAYMENT PROCESSING – Approves Accounts Payable Voucher (APV) for payment after performing the following detailed activities:

  • Ensures validity of transaction and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensures completeness of supporting documents.
  • Validates propriety of approving personnel. Approval limits must be complied at all times.

b. FINANCIAL REPORTING - Supervises and reviews on a monthly basis the following financial reports to management:

  • Statement of Financial Position
  • Statement of Financial Performance
  • Statement of Cash Flows
  • Operating Expenses Variance Report
  • Variance Analysis

And performs the following:

  • Reviews Balance Sheet and Income Statements accounts periodically and prepares necessary journal entries for book adjustments/corrections.
  • Undertakes an active role in maintaining the cleanliness of the books (e.g. eliminating floaters, recommending allowances/provisions, etc.) thereby minimizing adjustments in the books.

2. Assists Finance Manager on projects aligned with the company strategic direction.

3. Supervises implementation of procedures, policies and systems.

4. Coordinates with other departments on inter-related processes. Conducts process review to strengthen inter-related processes.

5. Supervises preparation and review of periodic reports as per set requirements and cut-off dates.

6. Monitors subordinates’ work performance, attendance, discipline and enforces company rules and regulations. Performs other tasks that may be assigned by superior from time to time.

AUTHORITIES

  • To approve less than 5,000 pesos request of administrative expenses of Accounting Section.
  • To post Accounts Payable Vouchers and Journal Vouchers prepared by Finance Analyst in CIIS.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: BS Accountancy Graduate

Experience: At least 3 years experience in the real estate industry in a supervisory level with focus on general accounting.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES

  • Must be CPA.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office. Highly knowledgeable on accounting-based systems.
