Join us as an Ecosystem Lead and work alongside the Regional Director for Region South to develop, sustain, and enhance our partner ecosystem. You'll play a crucial role in driving the innovation and education activities of our partners, supporting their recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts. You'll also interact with national and regional innovation authorities to evolve the ecosystem and to strengthen EIT Digital’s financial footprint.
This position is focused primarily on the advancement of EIT Digital’s position within the European Green Digital sector, and the effective delivery of cascade funding to the most capable innovation actors in this sector.
You will report to the Regional Director for Region South.
Your tasks and opportunities- Champion innovation partnerships : Lead efforts to bring together innovators, businesses, and academic leaders to develop successful proposals for EU innovation and education funding. You'll have a direct hand in driving initiatives that define Europe’s future in digital and green technologies.
- Deliver high-impact project : Take the lead in delivering and managing the operational aspects of flagship projects (such as like RIVCircular and Madrid Region EDIH) in close collaboration with the Director and EIT Digital’s innovation and education Leads.
- Build and expand networks : You'll play a pivotal role in attracting and retaining top-tier partners for EIT Digital, while also driving student recruitment for our prestigious educational programmes.
- Operational excellence : Oversee the smooth execution of EIT Digital’s innovation activities, ensuring projects are managed effectively and reach their objectives, from funding acquisition to implementation. Supervise and execute administrative, financial reporting, and logistical processes.
- Create memorable events : Support and devise EIT Digital events that inspire, engage, and expand the reach of our ecosystem.
- Professional growth : Work in a dynamic environment at the intersection of digital technologies and entrepreneurial innovation.
- Impactful work : Contribute to building a sustainable and inclusive green and digital Europe.
- Collaborative environment : Engage with a diverse team and partners across Europe.
- Travel opportunities : Occasional travel to other European location and EIT Digital offices.
- Extensive experience and understanding of the green digital sectors which encompasses key technology enablers, break-through solutions from early-stage ventures, and the European venture funding landscape.
- Academic background (MSc level) in STEM, preferably digital technology.
- 5+ years’ experience in operational management role in R&D or innovation organisation.
- Experience in acquiring and managing EU-funded projects.
Fluent in English and Spanish. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional EU languages are a plus.
