The successful candidate will lead a global team of scientists and medical advisors, support the other Medical Affairs programs and regional Medical Affairs teams based in the US, Latin America, China and Asia Pacific. This is an onsite role at QIAGEN Barcelona. Key responsibilities:* Manage the daily activities, budget, planning and resources of the team* Act as a core member of the Project Development Committees* Lead medical risk analyses and work closely with Post Market Surveillance team* Lead Medical Training and Medical Education programs* Act as lead for the Investigator Initiated QIAStat Study program* Lead the interdisciplinary support activities for the Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Research and Development teams## Position RequirementsPlease ensure you submit your application in English.* Strong laboratory/medical background in infectious disease diagnostics.* Minimum 5 years' experience in Medical Affairs, preferably for an IVD company.* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role.* Experience in the design and development of infectious disease products.* Exemplary interpersonal skills at all levels of seniority with excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Fluent English mandatory.*** Willingness and availability to travel globally as required (further details available at interview).**What we offer*** Meal voucher* Health Insurance (conditional to your role)* Bonus/Commission* Referral Program* Employee Assitance ProgramOur people are the heartbeat of everything we do.
