Join our dynamic team and play a critical role in maintaining the heartbeat of our global infrastructure. As a Data Center Facility Manager, you'll be the guardian of our critical technology environments, ensuring seamless operations and driving technological resilience across our availability zones. Key job responsibilities - Lead comprehensive engineering operations and maintenance across our data center availability zones - Manage infrastructure build-out, project timelines, and vendor relationships - Oversee critical mechanical and electrical service availability - Develop and implement risk management strategies - Coordinate cross-functional projects to optimize facility performance and safety A day in the life Your day will be a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on problem-solving. You'll navigate complex facility challenges, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure our data centers operate with precision and reliability. From monitoring critical systems to managing project timelines, every moment will be an opportunity to make a significant impact. About the team We are a collaborative group of technical experts dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of infrastructure performance. Our team is committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and supporting the technological backbone that powers global digital experiences. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in people management and team development - Experience in engineering work, managing large-scale services - Experience operating a mission-critical team or product - Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - Experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
