The Tech department at Kantox is a team of experienced professionals who enjoy solving complex challenges and building reliable, scalable systems. The team is curious, ambitious, and committed to learning and improving every day.As CTO, you will work closely with the Head of Engineering and empower him as a key leader in the organization while building the structures and practices that support scale.If you value collaboration, clarity, and hands‑on leadership, you will feel right at home.Your mission within KantoxSet and communicate the long‑term technology vision for Kantox.Lead the adoption of AI‑assisted development with clear governance and measurable impact.Support the continued modernization of our tech stack offering guidance on moving away from legacy infrastructure and to up to date tech stacks.Remove blockers and improve developer velocity through better systems, tools, and workflows.Establish simple, scalable methods for resource allocation, prioritization, and performance measurement.Actively mentor the Head of Engineering and support them in scaling the team effectively.Collaborate with Product, Finance, Security, and BNP Paribas stakeholders on technology decisions.Maintain a high standard of security and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC2).Promote a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.As part of the senior leadership team of Kantox, contribute to the management efforts to set an ambitious vision for the company and to develop a culture of high performance, collaboration and efficiency.Who you areProven experience as CTO or VP of Engineering in a scale‑up environment (50–100+ engineers).Strong technical foundation (architecture, distributed systems, AWS).Hands‑on leader who steps in when needed and builds capabilities through mentorship.Experience modernizing legacy systems and managing technical debt responsibly.Data‑driven approach to take strategic decisions (eg: team resource allocation, task prioritisation, team performance)Strong communication skills and experience working in remote‑first environments.Able to operate in post‑acquisition or matrixed corporate structures.Fluent in English.Very nice to haveExperience in fintech, payments, or regulated B2B SaaS.Previous work involving AI governance or AI‑assisted development.Our cultureAn environment of innovation, accountability, and constructive feedback.A diverse and multicultural team with over 40 nationalities.Opportunities to grow your role, your skills, and your career.A collaborative and inclusive culture where ideas are shared and respected.Hybrid working and flexible hours so you can work at your best.Some testimonials: “The culture and the people at Kantox make me want to recommend Kantox as a place to work.
