Description

We are expanding our services, and to support this growth, we are looking for a Junior Digital Communications Officer to join our Policy In Action team.

PIA provides programme and network support, technical assistance, and mutual (peer-based) learning and training services to European Union (EU) institution.

Our portfolio of projects covers a range of policy areas, including employment, labour market, social inclusion and protection, education and training, and migration.

About the role:

The role will involve supporting the digital communications and visual development of several projects.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in digital and visual communications who is willing to expand their knowledge and progress within this role at ICF.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Support the content development of communication outputs, including creation of visuals.
  2. Liaising with communications manager and specialists to improve and seek opportunities with increasing visibility of projects.
  3. Ensure all online content follows the relevant project style guide and complies with accessibility requirements.
  4. Sourcing relevant multimedia (photos, videos) to accompany online content and make minor edits.
  5. Supporting and monitoring the communication mailbox, handling requests for graphic design and web support.

What we are looking for:

  1. University degree or equivalent experience in communications/cross media/graphic design or a related discipline.
  2. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  3. With the support of senior graphic designer and communications specialists, develop visually compelling digital and print outputs (i.e. for social media, websites, and in-person events).
  4. Experience developing written copy and supporting visuals for social media and web.
  5. Knowledge of adobe creative cloud and/or Canva is a plus.
  6. Strong organisational and coordination skills, including time management, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including interacting with multi-national and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
  8. A C1 (or equivalent) level of English is required.
