A subsidiary of Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), ICO handles over 2 million cars per year across its European terminals and works with leading automotive brands from Europe and Japan.ICO Spain has been awarded a 27-year concession to build and operate a new public vehicle terminal at the Port of Barcelona. Covering over 101,000 m² and expected to handle up to 180,000 vehicles annually from 2028, the terminal will focus on imports, especially electric vehicles from the Far East, and will feature state-of-the-art automation, electric handling equipment, and solar power generation, reinforcing the Port of Barcelona as a key automotive hub in Europe.
