About the client:Our client is a global pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona, specialized in the development of value-added medicines (AVMs) and innovative solutions for the B2B market. With a highly skilled cross-functional team, they collaborate with international partners throughout the full product lifecycle—from early formulation to tech transfer and global commercialization.The company offers a dynamic and regulated environment where innovation, quality, and operational excellence are at the core. They are currently expanding their R&D team to lead new developments in collaboration with CDMOs, CROs, and other key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical ecosystem. Job description:As an R&D Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and technically leading external development projects in collaboration with CDMOs, CROs, and other strategic partners (API suppliers, regulatory consultancies, etc.). Reporting to the Head of R&D and CMO, you will drive formulation development, tech transfer, and regulatory support to ensure the successful launch of new pharmaceutical products. Your role will also include internal cross-functional coordination (Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Portfolio, QA/QC, Operations) and contributing to innovation and portfolio expansion strategies.RequirementsExperience 5 to 8 years in pharmaceutical R&D, particularly in formulation development and tech transfer. Proven track record managing external partners (CDMOs/CROs) and complex technical projects. Experience with formulation scale-up, analytical method development, and validation processes. Degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology or related field. PhD is highly desirable. Languages Fluent English and spanish (spoken and written). Competences Strong technical and regulatory knowledge (CMA, CPP, CQA, GMP, ICH guidelines). Project leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Proactive, solution-oriented and capable of working in multicultural environments What We Offer Full-time, permanent position based in Barcelona.
