Senior Modern Workplace Engineer

You will be part of our Group IT Infrastructure Team, based in Belgium, which currently includes one team lead and four engineers, operating at Group level across all entities.In addition to your primary domain ownership, you will contribute to 3rd line support across the wider infrastructure stack, working closely with fellow infrastructure specialists at Group level.Within this setup, you will take end-to-end ownership of the Modern Workplace domain, acting as the primary point of expertise for identity, endpoint management, and Microsoft 365. You will collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Security, and Application colleagues, while independently driving standards, solutions, and improvements within your scope.The role is senior, hands-on, and autonomous, combining architectural ownership with operational delivery. To support our continued growth and digital transformation, we are strengthening our Group IT team with a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset.functions* Design and evolve the Modern Workplace: Design, improve, and maintain the modern workplace architecture across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune Define standards, policies, and best practices for identity, device management, security, and user experience Drive a secure, scalable, and user-centric endpoint strategy* Identity & Access Management: Own and evolve Active Directory and Entra ID in a hybrid, multi-domain environment Design and manage Conditional Access, SSO, and authentication flows (SAML) Ensure secure identity lifecycle management and access governance* Endpoint & Device Management: Manage Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager for Windows devices Implement and maintain device compliance and configuration profiles (Windows, MAM) Own Windows Autopilot and zero-touch provisioning Manage application deployment, updates, and lifecycle Use endpoint analytics and reporting to improve performance and user experience* Microsoft 365 Administration: Admin-level management of Microsoft 365 services (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint) Manage licensing, service configurations, and platform governance Support effective adoption and usage across the business* Collaboration & Operations: Work closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams Coordinate with vendors and partners where required Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures Participate in projects, daily operations, and third-line support Join the on-call / standby rotation* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification Contribute to scalable and repeatable ways of working Share knowledge, coach colleagues, and keep documentation up to daterequirements7+ years of relevant IT experience 2 to 3+ years in a senior role focused on modern workplace, identity, or endpoint management Knowledge in: Active Directory & Entra ID, Microsoft (365, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Azure) Proven experience in cloud-first and hybrid environments Able to balance architecture, delivery, and operational support English is essential (written and spoken) Any additional language used within the group (Dutch, Spanish, German, French) is a plus Occasional international travel Participation in the standby rotation is requiredbenefits- Fully remote position - Private Medical Insurance - Performance Bonus: up to 10% - Holidays: 25 days per year
