We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our IT Delivery team, focusing on hybrid cloud technologies with a strong background in Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading the design, implementation, and management of our hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of both on-premises and cloud-based systems.

A snapshot of what you will be doing here:

Design and Architecture:
  1. Develop and implement hybrid cloud strategies using Microsoft Azure and other hybrid cloud platforms
  2. Architect and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud and on-premises solutions
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Implementation and Management:
  1. Manage and maintain hybrid cloud environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
  2. Implement and manage IaaS, SaaS, PaaS solutions such as Azure Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Office 365
  3. Resolving complex technical issues in collaboration with our ServiceDesk team
  4. Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides
Security and Compliance:
  1. Ensure security best practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  2. Implement, maintain and monitor security controls
Optimization and Performance Tuning:
  1. Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud and on-premises systems
  2. Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline operations
  3. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning

We are looking for an individual who:

Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in system engineering, with a focus on Microsoft related technologies
Technical Skills:
  1. Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and related technologies
  2. Strong understanding of networking principles, including VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations
  3. Experience with cloud virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and Citrix
  4. Familiarity with DevOps practices (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines) and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates and Azure Bicep
Certifications:
  1. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar
Soft Skills:
  1. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines together with external partners
