We are seeking a seasoned Digital Product Owner with a proven track record of overseeing end-to-end digital product development and leading cross-functional teams. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development, enhancement, and seamless integration of key digital products within a larger application ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to align product strategies with broader organisational objectives and ensure that customer needs are met through innovative, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for applications within the digital ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  2. Create, prioritise, and maintain the product backlog. Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of tasks and priorities.
  3. Set up agile ceremonies, internal events, and reporting processes to ensure efficiency.
  4. Apply agile methodologies to manage cross-functional projects, contributing to and enhancing business strategy through practical operational capabilities.
  5. Lead sprint planning and participate in sprint reviews to ensure that the work meets the acceptance criteria and overall product vision.
  6. Supervise and advise the Scrum team to ensure software expectations are met. Work closely with the team throughout the development process.
  7. Schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and propose solutions, ensuring follow-up on project fixes.
  8. Manage the product development team to create a strong end product. Lead and nurture ideas and solutions to existing customer problems.
  9. Determine roadmaps for products in the creation phase.
  10. Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure that each story is clearly defined and ready for development.
  11. Define both the features and visual aspects of the product, with a strong focus on UX/UI to ensure a user-friendly and visually appealing design.
  12. Work closely with development teams, design (UI/UX), external agencies, and the Scrum team to ensure efficient implementation of features and continuous improvement.
  13. Collaborate with the Digital Project Manager to align on timelines and deliverables, ensuring that product development stays on track.
  14. Lead the digital product development within a specialised team (Business Owner, Solution Architect, Design Lead), focusing on digital sales performance.
  15. Anticipate, understand, and manage customer expectations, while identifying new market trends and competition.
  16. Extract and retrieve information and data sets to improve the software and ensure product decisions are data-driven.
  17. Oversee the integration of applications within the larger ecosystem, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  18. Manage data migration from previous systems to the new platform, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  19. Maintain a solid understanding of technology architectures, particularly in front-end stacks, with a focus on operational excellence and innovation.
  20. Have knowledge of web analytics technologies and UX analysis solutions.
  21. Conduct market and user research to inform product decisions. Use data and analysis to prioritise new features and improvements.
  22. Ensure applications perform optimally, addressing any issues and areas for improvement as needed.
  23. Maintain comprehensive documentation of product features, user stories, and technical specifications.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Product Owner, with a successful track record of managing and developing products within deadlines.
  3. Proven experience in applications development and managing products within a larger ecosystem of applications.
  4. Strong knowledge of Agile principles and processes, with proficiency in leading Agile development teams.
  5. Experience in setting up agile ceremonies and ensuring the team's efficiency in an Agile environment.
  6. In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends, with the ability to anticipate customer needs and stay ahead of competitors.
  7. Solid understanding of web development technologies, particularly in front-end stacks, and familiarity with web analytics technologies and UX analysis solutions.
  8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract and retrieve data sets for improving software and making data-driven decisions.
  9. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  10. A collaborative team player with experience working effectively in cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and external agencies.
  11. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a creative, innovative mindset to drive product enhancements and solutions to customer challenges.
  12. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in product development, roadmaps, and documentation.

Nice to have:

  1. Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
  2. Experience managing products that are part of a larger ecosystem of applications.
