We operate globally with a distributed team and are supported by top investors and public funding partners across Europe and the US.About the RoleWe are looking for a Finance Operations Associate to support day-to-day financial processes across our global entities and ensure smooth execution of operational finance tasks. Reporting directly to our CFO, this role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our internal finance processes as we scale.You will support accounting workflows, payments, reconciliations, vendor and grant management, and help prepare materials for audits and reporting. The role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable operating across jurisdictions and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport accounts payable/receivable processes across multiple entitiesAssist with monthly reconciliations, bookkeeping, and internal financial reportingLiaise with external accounting providers, including in Spain, Malta and the USHelp prepare documentation for grant claims, audits, and investor reportingMaintain and improve finance-related tools and documentation (e.g., budget trackers, vendor logs)Process employee payroll, new hires registration and onboardingTrack internal expenses, reimbursements, and credit card usageEnsure consistent record-keeping and compliance with internal controlsSupport CFO on ad hoc finance projects and analysis, as neededIdeal Candidate Profile2–4 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or business administrationProficiency with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) and accounting softwareStrong attention to detail, ability to organize and follow through on multiple tasksComfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environmentExcellent communication skills; able to coordinate across departments and geographiesPassionate about technology, driving efficiency through continuous process optimization, automation, and AI leveragingStartup Mindset: Agile, accountable, and solution-drivenFluent in English.
