About The Job Galtea is seeking a highly experienced, product-driven Staff Full Stack Engineer to drive the technical vision and development of our innovative platform. This is a senior, hands-on Individual Contributor (IC) role for someone who thrives on building a robust, scalable, and user-centric commercial product from the ground up. We are seeking expert, high-impact individuals to join us in defining the future of AI quality and tackling the complex technical challenges ahead.What you'll be doing As a Staff Full Stack Engineer, you will be the chief technical owner of Galtea’s core AI services. You won't just build features; you will architect the systems, set the technical standards, and make the critical design decisions that ensure our platform is scalable, reliable, and effective. You will take ownership of the application architecture, evangelize software development and DevOps best practices, and guide the rest of the team by example. As a key technical leader, you will play a critical role in determining the future of the platform, reporting directly to the CTO and tackling the hardest open questions in an AI-first sector.Main responsibilities: Technical Strategy & Architecture: Select and validate the most appropriate technologies, frameworks, and system designs (e.g., service communication patterns, data storage solutions, frontend architecture). You will then lead the hands-on design, development, and deployment of these solutions, evolving our platform for scale and reliability.Full-Stack Execution:Masterfully build and maintain both backend services (Node.js, NestJS) and intuitive frontend experiences (React, Vue.js, or other modern frameworks), ensuring seamless integration and performance. Technical Leadership & Mentorship:Act as a technical beacon for the team. Lead by example, guide design discussions, conduct insightful code reviews, and mentor other engineers, helping to level up the entire team's capabilities. Scalability & Performance:Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. You'll leverage your experience from high-growth environments to ensure our platform is resilient, secure, and ready to scale. Engineering Excellence:Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and maintainability. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code that other engineers can learn from. Strategic Collaboration:Work closely with the founders, product leads, and designers to translate complex user needs into elegant technical solutions. You will be a key voice in technical and product roadmapping.About you We are seeking a "T-shaped" engineer with deep expertise across the stack and a proven history of building products in high-growth environments.Experience:8+ years of professional experience in a hands-on, full-stack capacity, with a proven track record of shipping complex, high-quality products from conception to launch. Scaleup & Startup DNA:You've been in a high-growth startup or scaleup environment before. You thrive in ambiguity, know how to pragmatically balance speed with long-term technical debt, and build for scale. Technical Mentorship:Demonstrable experience mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, leading by example through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural design sessions. Backend & Architectural Expertise:Deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable, modular architectures (microservices, event-driven, etc.). Mastery of Node.js (or equivalent) and TypeScript. Frontend Prowess:Strong command of a modern frontend framework (React, Vue.js, etc.) and the ability to build complex, responsive, and performant user interfaces. Database & Systems Design:Proven experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, understanding the trade-offs and knowing when to use each. Product & Design Sensibility:You don't just build features; you understand the "why" behind them. You can collaborate effectively with designers (e.g., in Figma) and product managers to find the best user-centric solutions.Pluses: Deep expertise in DevOps, building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines, and owning the deployment process. Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Helm) and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred). Experience with data privacy, application security (AppSec), or regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC2). Knowledge of cutting-edge LLM services, APIs, and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex). Mathematical aptitude and strong analytical problem-solving skills.Education and Languages: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical (and extensive) experience.
