The Group is experiencing significant growth due to its focus on off-site construction methods (OSM) of delivering turnkey projects, meaning on-site construction time is kept to a minimum. Role DescriptionThis appointment will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to further develop their technical skills in this role. You will plan and work on all aspects of electrical design and implementation of water treatment solutions. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork in the areas of water systems and treatment plant electrical evaluation, modelling and design, master planning and project delivery.Develop electrical deliverables: wiring diagrams, cable lists, routing layouts, routing, MTOs.Participate in the design of control systems: PLCs, distributed systems, emergency shutdown systems and monitoring of rotating equipment.Prepare plans for cable routes, implementation of instruments and boxes.Design electrical systems and role out plans for typical applications being data centres, medical water systems, municipal, industrial, Pharma, and recycling water systems with payback evaluations.Coordinating and adjusting the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget.Execution support of electrical design to the pre-construction and project delivery teamsMaintain regular and constructive communication with clients and project team members.Simultaneously managing multiple projects and clients.Compiling pre and post project completion documentation to a very high standardRequired Experience & Qualifications:Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 5 year’s experience in designing electrical systems is essential with design emphasis on the Data Centre, Industrial, Municipal and Pharma sectors being an advantageHandling of CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN P8Fluent English speaker with strong speaking skills as the position will require presentations to clients.Experience in FEED phases and detailed engineeringMust exhibit strong project management skills.Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team in developing conceptual, feasibility, and final designs for a wide variety of water treatment projects.Strong detail-oriented work style, and an accommodating and proactive attitude.IT literate and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and MS ProjectHandling of CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN P8.Experience with documentation of instrumentation equipment connections such as: Control valves, On-Off valves, self-regulating valves. Level, differential pressure, radar, magnetic elements. Flow meters: Vortex, Coriolis, ultrasound, magnetic, positive displacement type. Temperature meters: thermometers, RTDs, multimeters, thermocouples.
