Release and Software Lifecycle Manager

Description
  1. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive software lifecycle management processes.
  3. Work closely with development, QA, operations, and program teams to ensure alignment and smooth transitions between stages.
  4. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with software releases and lifecycle processes.
  5. Implement and promote best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps.
  6. Maintain detailed documentation of release processes, lifecycle stages, and related procedures.
  7. Communicate internally (to development teams or program functions) and externally (to end-users and markets) relevant updates (e.g., planned maintenance, etc.).
  8. Act as liaison and facilitator between the teams to coordinate the implementation of systems and releases from testing phases into the production environment, ensuring a seamless transition, stability, and minimal disruption to operations.
  9. Ensure all software releases comply with regulatory and company standards.
  10. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to software releases and lifecycle management.
  11. Provide training and support to team members on release management and lifecycle processes.
  12. Leverage SAFe principles to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of software development and release processes.
  13. Coordinate systems and interfaces in the rollout process, considering ongoing deployments, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a STEM-related field.
  2. Proven experience of 5-7 years in managing IT infrastructure with a demonstrated understanding of coordinating between system releases, rollout, and testing.
  3. Strong understanding of IT operations and infrastructure management, including cloud services and on-premises systems.
  4. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing complex software projects.
  5. Proficient in CI/CD tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and release automation tools.
  6. Proficiency in SRE practices, including monitoring, incident response, and reliability engineering.
  7. Proficiency in Cloud Ops and AWS Cloud.
  8. Understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience in SAFe being highly desirable.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
