The Associate Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the vital work of maintaining diagnostic tools, which directly influences patient health and well-being.

This position is part of the Service Organization located in the SE Michigan metro area and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Field Service Team reporting to the Field Service Manager and responsible for ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment. This position services the Chemistry and Immunoassay systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment.
  2. Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter’s customers, along with technical training on products.
  3. Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times.
  4. Utilize business systems such as OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
  5. Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their unique needs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  1. Associate degree or equivalent military experience (Applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
  2. 0–1-year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
  3. Hold a current valid driver’s license and good driving record over the last three years.
  4. Ability to travel (providing service in an assigned geography and periodic travel to other areas/overnight).
  5. Candidates must be able to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  6. Candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  7. Candidates must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, have good hand, and finger dexterity.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  1. 2+ years’ experience of troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications and/or service repair.
  2. Developing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and supporting long-term retention.
  3. A technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related.

The hourly range for this role is $32.00/hour to $34.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
