AECOM’s Urban Planning & Landscape team is growing, and we are hiring a Senior Landscape Architect to join our talented group of Architects, Landscape Architects and Urban Planners.

Our team is involved in different large-scale project across Europe for clients across different market sectors (infrastructure, leisure, residential) bringing a new approach to traditional landscape design challenges, combining forward-thinking creativity with experience and best practices to bring the most appropriate and innovative ideas to each client.

The selected person will support different departments of the business lines and participate in a wide range of projects in the following tasks:
  • Take full responsibility for the development of the design process and deliverables, and liaise with internal and external design team, contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Provide support in terms of technical landscape design expertise and administration including sustainable land-use planning, sustainable urban and infrastructure design.
  • To create and drive presentations with high level Director support to clients and stakeholders and government (approving agencies) to advance understanding of landscape and urban aspects of projects, approvals for: development, master plans, development guidelines and policies.
  • Co-ordination and management of landscape design meetings, workshops and presentations with authorities, clients and staff as appropriate.
  • Generate written and illustrative urban planning and landscape design principles, concepts, strategies, controls and guidelines in line with local and international regulations and standards.
  • Provide assistance to Associates and Directors as may be required from time to time, in bids and business development.
  • To seek out innovation and best practice across all areas of the role – brings new ideas and creative thinking to client's work as well as across the internal AECOM Design team.
Minimum Requirements
We are looking to hire a new colleague with, at least, 10 years of proven experience in landscape projects, particularly related to linear infrastructure (railway, highways...). Experience in Nordic countries (particularly Sweden) is recommended.
  • Previous experience in all project phases, notably in the delivery of detailed design, BoQ and Specifications.
  • Previous experience integrating landscape design requirements with architecture and engineering.
  • Previous experience successfully managing design teams.
  • Negotiation and commercial skills.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills both in English and Spanish. Swedish language is a plus.
  • Strong Knowledge of design and sustainability trends and market influences.
  • Skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Design.What we offer
