Overview:

The Engineering Innovation Specialist is a pivotal role that combines cutting-edge innovation with robust backend development expertise. This role is responsible for driving technological advancements and ensuring the successful launch of market-driven products. The individual in this position will lead the development of scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems, mentor junior developers, and translate business objectives into innovative technical solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive Innovation and Product Development: Identify opportunities for technological innovation and lead R&D projects to create new technologies or enhance existing ones that align with market demands.
  2. Design, Build, and Maintain Efficient Code: Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable code that meets industry best practices and supports product launches.
  3. Translate Business Requirements into Technical Solutions: Convert business objectives into technical applications that are market-ready and aligned with organizational goals.
  4. System Performance, Security, and Scalability: Continuously improve system performance, security, and scalability to meet market demands and support product growth.
  5. Identify and Mitigate Bottlenecks and Bugs: Proactively resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues to optimize system performance, particularly in preparation for product launches.
  6. Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and building a strong development team.
  7. Crafting and Consuming APIs: Design, implement, and maintain APIs that ensure seamless data flow and integration across applications.
  8. Adhering to Best Practices in Coding and Deployment: Commit to industry best practices in coding, testing, debugging, and deployment to deliver market-ready products.
  9. Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest industry trends in backend development and innovation, adopting new technologies as needed.
  10. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Effectively resolve development issues to ensure smooth operation and stability, especially during product launches.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in backend development with a focus on launching market-driven products.
  2. Expertise in NodeJS, ExpressJS, MongoDB, and related frameworks.
  3. Strong understanding of REST APIs, performance, and security standards.
  4. Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools like Docker and GitHub CI/CD.
  5. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and code review processes.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
  8. Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  9. A minimum of 5+ years of backend development experience focused on market-driven product launches.
