Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Domain Architect (d / f / m) for Corporate / Customer Services domain to join our Architecture unit. This area provides integrated architect solutions for Corporate and Customer Services products and services. This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location: Munich or Getafe? For this position you can decide which location would suit you best.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Designs domain-specific target architectures and underlying design principles to steer specific solution architectures.
  2. Co-creates required architecture artefacts with Enterprise Architects, e.g., architecture blueprints and technical debt backlog.
  3. Manages domain IT specific technology lifecycle in alignment with enterprise architects and translates it into a domain transformation roadmap.
  4. Acts as Lead Architect in programs when related to large solutions crossing domains.
  5. Accounts for cross-architecture layer / end-to-end IT architecture consistency within the customer services domain.
  6. Drives architecture effectiveness from a functional end-to-end perspective with cross-layer responsibility to ensure close integration of layers.
  7. Supports solution architecture by identifying and evaluating solution options.
  8. Acts as an internal consultant and independent moderator in domain-specific design discussions and supports and guides Solution Architects to facilitate effective projects.
  9. Assesses deviation from standards, recommends standard alternatives and documents technical debt.

Desired skills and qualifications:

  1. You hold a degree in information technology or a similar field or bring a comparable qualification combined with several years of experience in big and complex environments.
  2. German or Spanish, plus English fluently in speaking and writing.
  3. Experience on Togaf framework and Archimate language.
  4. Good background on development, software architecture, devops.
  5. Good knowledge on cloud, traditional IT and security.
  6. Experience working with Agile and SAFe methodologies.
  7. Technical project management experience.
