We have led the way in innovation, services, and a strong regulatory approach in the digital asset landscape for eleven years.

We were first to introduce the purchase of bitcoin with a credit card back in 2014. Now, with a portfolio of licenses and multiple global banking relationships supported by payment instruments and markets, we bridge traditional and decentralized finance for a diverse range of users. For some, CEX.IO is their first experience with cryptocurrencies, while others take advantage of our professional and enterprise solutions.

Currently, we are looking for a Managing Director for our Spain location.

The role will require overseeing day-to-day sales and business development activities within the designated location to ensure operational effectiveness and alignment with the global corporate strategy.

Tasks and responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute the company’s business development strategies to attain local goals.
  2. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and local market development activities.
  3. Act as the public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile.
  4. Actively interact with partners and local regulatory authorities, evangelizing CEX.IO products and services to ensure in-market networking.
  5. Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
Essential requirements
  1. A strong understanding of the Spanish market (FinTech and Crypto).
  2. Knowledge and experience in a pre-scale FinTech is an advantage.
  3. Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with local regulatory authorities.
  4. General knowledge of global compliance rules and processes.
  5. Previous experience in the role of Compliance Officer/MLRO would be an advantage.
  6. Proven ability to quickly learn a new technology product.
  7. Fluent in spoken and written Spanish; English is a must; additional language is a plus.
