We are looking for a Software Test Engineer for a Singapore multinational technology and engineering corporation with a long history in aerospace, smart cities, defense, and public security. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing testing efforts, developing, and maintaining test strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Location: Ho Chi Minh - hybrid work

FunctionsTest Planning and Strategy:
  1. Execute comprehensive test strategies and plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Define test objectives, criteria, and priorities based on software requirements and business goals.
  3. Ensure timely execution of test efforts.
Testing:
  1. Execute hands-on testing, including manual and automated testing, to verify software functionality, performance, and security.
  2. Conduct rigorous regression testing, exploratory testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  3. Create accurate and comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
Test Automation:
  1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. This includes (but is not limited to) writing test scripts within code to ensure testing of functions within code.
  2. Champion test automation best practices and contribute to the growth of automation coverage.
  3. Continuously improve the test automation infrastructure for efficiency and scalability.
Defect Management:
  1. Track defects and work with engineers to resolve them.
  2. Communicate defects and testing progress to stakeholders.
Collaboration and Communication:
  1. Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve product quality.
  2. Communicate testing status, results, and recommendations to senior management.
Test Documentation:
  1. Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  2. Ensure that testing documentation is up-to-date and accessible to the team.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 1+ years of proven experience as a Software Test Engineer, with a focus on automation.
  3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  4. Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Typescript, Svelte, Golang).
  5. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Testify, Selenium).
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. High English language proficiency.
  8. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
